Cesana Torinese is located about 90 km from Turin and 10 km from the border French in Alta Valle Susa, at 1,354 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Chaberton, at the confluence of two rivers: Ripa river, coming from the homonymous valley, and Piccola Dora river that descending from the Montgénévre hill.
Cesana Torinese è situata a circa 90km da Torino, a 10km dal confine con la Francia, in Alta Valle di Susa. A 1.354 m.s.l.m, ai piedi del monte Chaberton e alla confluenza dei fiumi Ripa, che arriva dall’omonima valle, e Piccola Dora, che scende dal Monginevro.
OLYMPIC CENTRE - Venue
The Olympic Centre was built in Sansicario, in the Via Lattea ski area, during the 2006 Turin Olympics and currently managed by Gestimax srl. The ski area offers 212 slopes and 69 ski lifts, is characterized by large spaces, sunny and panoramic slopes that combine characteristic villages of Occitan huts with modern places equipped with all comforts. The vastness and variety of the area are able to satisfy both the most demanding skiers, thanks to the long and demanding slopes, and those approaching the world of skiing for the first time.
L’Olympic Centre ha sede a Sansicario, all’interno del comprensorio sciistico della Via Lattea. Fu una delle sede dei Giochi Olimpici Invernali di Torino 2006.
L’area sciistica vanta oltre 212 piste e 69 impianti di risalita ed è caratterizzata dalla commistione tra il passato e la tradizione occitana con la modernità, per soddisfare tutte le necessità dei turisti.
